The University of California, Riverside (UCR), founded as an agricultural research center in 1907, is a public, comprehensive university. Undergraduate programs are offered through the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE); College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS); College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS); Graduate School of Education (GSOE); School of Business; and School of Public Policy (SPP). UCR's 1,200-acre campus is located 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
